Thai Food : Kao Mun Gai (Chicken with rice) ข้าวมันไก่

     Kao Mun Gai is popular.It is tasty just eating rice with boiled chicken and sauce.If you want to eat Kao Mun Gai more delicious.Eat Kao Mun Gai together with sliced cucumber and hot soup.

Ingredients of Kao Mun Gai :

1. Whole chicken (boiled)
2. Chicken stock
3. 3 tbsp chopped garlic
4. 5 cups jasmine rice
5. 2 tbsp cilantro roots
6. 1 tbsp salt
7. 1 tbsp sugar
8. 1/2 cup oil

For sauce
1. 1/2 cup soya paste
2. 1/2 cup soy sauce
3. 1/4 cup black soy sauce
4. 1/2 cup sugar
5. 1/4 cup ginger,chopped
6. 1/4 cup garlic,chopped
7. 6 Thai chillies,chopped

How to make Kao Mun Kai : 


1. Add oil,cilantro roots and garlic heat in a pan.Stir fry the garlic until it is cook and golden.Add jasmine rice,salt and sugar in a pan.Stir fry until all ingredients mixed well.Remove from heat.
2. Put rice in rice cooker and pour heat chicken stock down.Cook the rice as normally.When it is cooked,do not open the rice cooker.Wait about 20-30 minutes.It is ready to serve
3. Add soya paste,soy sauce,black soy sauce,sugar,chopped ginger,chopped garlic and chopped Thai chillies in a bowl and mixed all ingredients well.
4. For serving,scoop the rice on a plate,chop boiled chicken and arrange the chopped chicken beside it.Serve with sauce,sliced cucumber and hot soup.
