Thai Dessert : Gluay Kai Cheum (Banana in syrup) กล้วยไข่เชื่อม

     Gluay Kai Cheum is a traditional Thai dessert which sweet,colorful and delicious.Even just eat Gluay Kai Cheum together with coconut milk,the flavor is mellow.It is easy to make.Try to make and eat Gluay Kai Cheum.


Ingredients of Gluay Kai Cheum :

1. 12 bananas (Not too ripe)
2. 2 cups sugar
3. 1/2 cup water
4. 2 pandan leaves

For coconut milk topping
1. 3/4 cup coconut milk
2. 1/2 tsp salt
3. 1 tsp rice flour

How to make Gluay Kai Cheum : 

1. Add sugar,water and pandan leaves in a pot.Heat it to boiling until the sugar dissolve.
2. Put the bananas in syrup and stew about 10-20 minutes.Set aside to cool.
3. To make coconut milk topping,add coconut milk,salt into a pot and heat to boil.Dissolve the rice flour with water.Add the rice flour to a pot and always stir until all ingredient mix.It is finished for coconut topping.
4. For serving,scoop bananas in syrup on a plate and dressing with coconut milk.
